Why not a Glock compact 45 acp?

Why hasn't glock made a 45acp like the gl 19/23? To me, this would be the greatest pistol!!!!

I think the G30 is about as close to the 19/23 as you could get, given the extra heaft needed for the .45 cart.

Thicker but otherwise the G30 is similar in dimensions to the G19.

I wish they'd just do a full compact grip on the 30 and have another sub-compact .45 (obviously thicker than the other sub-compacts, but that's fine IMO), but the 30 isn't terribly difficult to conceal.

Took longer than I expected for the 36 to come up. Pretty close in size to 19/23.

He wants a three round pistol. Six is too many.

The G30 is a Compact.

There's no way that brick should be called a subcompact.

I've wondered the same thing

I've wondered the same thing. Even Glock calls the 30 a subcompact. A compact version could have the same 10-round capacity, without the magazine extension of the 30. You'd also have a longer barrel/sight radius. I'm fine with the thickness of the 21 and 30, so they wouldn't have to slim it down like the 36. Just think of it like the Glock 22/23/27 configurations.

Use the flat-bottom 9 round mags.

This exact question comes up every few months. Here is what always results...

People will argue that the G30 is already a Compact ... which it isn't.

People will tell you that the G30 or G36 is exactly what you want.

People will tell you to get a GAP compact model.

People will think you mean something that is the exact size of a G19 9mm and tell you it can't be made.

People will tell you that THEY don't want the pistol you are talking about, so it should not be made.

I personally thing it would be about perfect ... but then again I don't make GLOCK's business decisions .. so I don't see any hope for it.

I think Glock has hit all around a subcompact with the 30, 36, 30S etc. so they're not likely to invent something brand new that is almost the same as those pistols. Basically it comes down to "you can't please EVERYBODY". I personally LOVE my G30 and I have zero problems concealing it under light summer clothing. I suppose another reason they won't build your perfect pistol is because then you wouldn't buy their dying GAP line of pistols.

Why do you guys always ask this?glock wanted a 19-23 style 45, the only way they could do it was by cutting the acp case down and making the 37-38-39,I don't blame you, my 19 is the perfect pistol.but if you want a 19 sized 45 get a g38 and start reloading,it's not that hard, and a lot cheaper

Why? because they already have... it's the G36.

Now, my Q. is:

Why haven't you noticed it?
