Ruger 22/45 Rail Mod

I received my Alabama Holster for my 22/45 lite today. I have the stock Ruger rail and a TRS-25 mounted on top. It won't fit the holster with the rail and optic mounted.

I'm thinking of ordering another rail and cutting it short and rounding the front edge to try and get it to fit. This will leave two mounting screws vs three. Anyone foresee a problem with this. It will just be for range use.

It also may require dremeling out the front of the holster, but I'm hesitant to do this to a brand new holster.

Is this worth trying? Or abandon it and try to sell it to a member who will not be using an optic?

I'd call Greg first and see what he says. He may be able to make it fit.
