Why do I feel like Marty McFly could show up in his Delorean at any instant during that video?

I just can't embrace these converted Camaros. The Trans Am died in 2002. Keep it that way and honor it's dignity.

I dig it. The dimensions of the new zeta platform has a "chubby" and "scrunched" look to it that is almost cartoonish. (a touch of Ed Roth) and I like it.

As much as I like the lines of the old 2nd gen T/A, that shaker scoop looks disproportionate on that short hood. And what's up with the lighted fender vents?

When you used the word 'Hurst', I was thinking the Hurst Olds Cutlass.

I've seen the Trans Am Depot car in Black before but I never noticed how hideous the nose of it was until seeing the white one above. While I'm not crazy about the point of the nose on the Petty's Garage Superbird and Daytona, I think they're a much better rendition of the classic than the Camaro conversions.

The GTO version has a nicer looking front end, but still doesn't look "right"...

I have to agree. As much as I'd love to see the Screaming Chicken on the road again, GM killed Pontiac and it's just someone's recreation. No matter how much they want it to be a Trans Am, it's not. Makes me wish I never sold my '79.

All it was in 2002 was a Camaro with some different touches on the body. I don't see how this one is any different.

That's pretty much all it ever was. They might have had some different engines, transmissions or suspensions but they started out Camaros.

It's not made by Pontiac.

I like it! ...except that front end. They are failing at making it evoke its classic predecessor and somehow just make it look like a sedan for a soccer mom who wants to think she has a sports car.

It's not like some random company bought the name and is churning out loveless cars to wring the money out of a dead horse (I stand behind that mixed metaphor).

This is still GM, just without the Pontiac badge. It's still a modified Camaro like the Firebird/Trans Am always was. What's to hate?

Now, if you want to complain about the GTO I will go make picketing signs with you.

Also, that commercial is terrible. Aside from any argument about using sex to sell or sexism in general... just very poorly done. For shame.

Doesn't look too bad. A couple years back when the Camaro first came out they had a couple custom built Trans Am "replicas" at a dealership and I recall the sticker being in the neighborhood of $100K!
