cispa bill

What do you guys think?

Looks like Obama threatens to veto this if it passes the senate. I actually agree, and hope he does veto this.

Against it myself. Interesting that the GOP is all for it. Well I know why. Who does it benefit? The corporations and government. Who is going to lose privacy? US. So of course the GOP is for it, anything to help the biggest corporations operate. Now, you would think Obama and the dems would be for anything to expand federal power, but because it's something the republicans want, you can be assured he will veto it, then they can stand there and say they protected the rights of the people, or some BS like that.

We really need a bill that will extend our 4th adm and other privacy rights into our electronic devices as well. Everything is done online now, if we don't secure this we might as well give up our rights.

This is one of those issues that the voting base doesn't care strongly enough about. It's not like either party acts out of principle. If voters don't care enough to voice their opinion about privacy the party certainly isn't going to care.

Glad Rand Paul opposes it.

Between CISPA and the internet tax bill, this isn't a good week for anybody that uses the 'net.
