thank you all. i just keep saying "one day at a time" (not the tv show). it's very nevewracking though, i'll tell you. I'm alone with her til I have to leave at 11 this morning, and then SHE is alone til my uncle comes at 1, which is scaring the poo out of me right now. :sofa:

luckily dad isn't so far away that he can't come back home fairly quick if need be, but i'll be out of touch from 12=6 ish. I know i've said this, but i hate this all SO MUCH.

They don't make em like that anymore! Congrats to your folks. Judging by their daughter I can tell they're good people. They married when I was 4. Back then you married for better or worse. Found out the hard way that now it's for better or else. YMMV.

Dad's parents were married for 63 years before my grandmother died. She fought bladder cancer for many years and my grandfather was a devoted caretaker. Dad is cut from the same cloth. My parents were high school sweethearts. My grandparents met when his father married her mother but that's a long story

Sorry I haven't been updating. Things have been looking pretty good and I haven't wanted to jinx anything! I took mom to the mall the other day for her first trip anyplace that wasn't the hospital in about 6 weeks. She walked from Macy's to Lord and Taylor and back and bought stuff in both places. It was good for the soul

Mrs. -
Had health struggles this winter with my mom. I live 2 hours away from her. It took time, but she's home and doing well. Only thing keeping her from volunteering at Red Cross now is her not wanting to do online scheduling.
Small steps progress to larger ones. My heart is happy to know she's "back". I wish the same for your mom.

Glad to hear she's feeling better. Does this mean she's in remission?
