I was numb... My 13 year old son was staring at me with horror on his face and I saw the fear growing in his eyes. I had to hold my emotions and calmly tell him that everything is going to be okay.

After my son left the office to wait outside, the doctor gave me the unsweetened truth that he has an agressive tumor that is potentially fatal.

I am heartbroken. Every time I sit down with nothing else on my mind, I am brought to tears.

Please pray for my son.

I spent time with God last night and prayed that his will be done. If it is not in his will for my son to live, I pray that I have the peace to accept it.

I am humbled to think that God loved us so much that he sent his son to die on the cross for us, I can't say that I could give my son for anyone.

I'd gladly take my son's place right now. Many of you have grown to be my friends over the years and I appreciate your prayers and support.

My son's name is Caleb and he is 13 years old.

We will be getting treatment at M.D. Anderson here in Houston.
On the way my friend. Let us know if we can do anything to help.

I'm glad you live in a place that has such wonderful care easily available.

Please remember to take care of yourself while you are taking care of him.
I agree with Mrs VR. How can you get past these feelings if you don't acknowledge and deal with them? Let out all the fear and the sadness so you can move forward to the anger and the fight.

I'll be praying for your son and your whole family as you BEAT this! All the best, sir.

Im in Dallas. If you come here for anything, pm me and I'll help you in any way I can. We are very well connected with the medical community here due to family and friends in the field.

Prayers for Caleb, your family and the medical staff. I only read your first post and I can only imagine what you all are going through. I just completed my 3 year check up test today. I am a cancer survivor and mine was complicated. The diagnosis devasted my mother, wife and children but they couldn't believe I didn't get rattled. i finally told them that I had a chat with "the boss in the sky", he would do his will and I would mentally tackle it as a war, but in the end it will be what it will be. STAY STRONG AND NEVER GIVE UP. Never give up, Caleb is tougher than you think. We(adults) don't give them enough credit.

That has to be one of the hardest things I've ever read. After reading the first part I had to stop reading. I then went back and read it. Prayers will be with you and your family.

My prayers are up for Caleb for the duration. I have been with MD Anderson for about 8 years. I can't describe how they have taken care of me. They treat the whole patient not just the spot with the problem. They are absolutely great. Angels all. I had a cancer removed from my thyroid back in May and everyone worked very hard to give me the best care possible.

I know that seeing a 13 year old child with cancer is awful especially when it is your son. But just thank God he's going to be in the best place on earth he could be and he will have the best care that there is.

Please keep us up dated and let us know how it goes. God bless you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear this. Our prayers and thoughts will be with you! Stay strong for your son, he is going to need it, and while prayers and faith are always a good thing, also be thankful that your child will have access to treatment at one of the very best cancer centers in the world.

I'm sorry to hear that. Stay strong.

I am currently helping my grandmother battle cancer.

I was turned on to this guy and I still have hope.

Rick Simpson and Pheonix Tears

I don't know Texas law but I highly recommend taking a few moments and seeing what it is all about. This guy makes the claim to have helped 1500 people cure cancer.
