So sorry to hear this news. Stay strong, keep the faith and don't ever give up. We will be praying for your son and your family.

As the father of a 12 year old son, I cannot imagine what you are going through.

Prayers sent for Caleb's health, your strength helping him through this, and gratitude that he is getting treated at Anderson.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. My son is 25 and 2 years ago was diognosed with diabetes. He called me last month to tell me that my soon to be grand daughter is high risk for downes. I know that gut wrenching feeling but just stay strong for him and hopefully this will turn out OK. Prayers sent to you and Caleb.

My dad is one of the toughest men I know, but when I was diagnosed with cancer he broke down and cried, and I was a grown man of 26.

I didn't understand until later, when I held my own child for the first time, how vulnerable we are as parents. Sometimes it keeps me awake at night.

I spent 6+ months fighting a battle, and it sucked like nothing I have experience before or since; but I had no time to to worry about the outcome. I was too overwhelmed by the ordeal itself. My family, on the other hand, agonized over all of the possibilities. They felt helpless.

Be strong for your son, but take care of yourself too.

I will say a prayer for your family.

Oh Crap Dave. I hope Caleb comes out of this alright. I know it has been a while, but he was always fun when he was over.

You and I both know the Houston hospitals very well. He couldn't be in better hands right now.

This is a rating, in order, of the top 10 cancer hospitals in the U. S., 1. University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 2. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 3. Johns Hopkins Hospital, 4. Mayo Clinic, 5. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 6. University of Washington Medical Center, 7. Massachusetts General Hospital, 8. University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, 9. Duke University Medical Center, and 10. Stanford Hospital and Clinics - so you couldn't be doing better.
