Bates Motel
Who's watching? New show on A&E inspired by Psycho. Pretty decent so far.

Just creepy enough to watch. Mom is a hottie too so it makes it easier to watch.

I got 30 minutes in til the first commercial break. I've gotta say that although the mom has a really odd face, her body is totally smokin'

Ok, I am guessing mom killed dad in the opener? I guess she really wanted to go to CA and be a motel owner? The HS girls were the hot popular types. Why would they want to hang out with the stunted nerd?
Sad that I sometime base my shows on the hotness factor. My wife DVRs Client List. If I put it on mute, I think I could watch it.

Vera Farmiga really doesn't seem to age well.
She looks a lot rougher than in The Departed.

Big Hitchcock and Horror fan, it had my interest till I figured out the storyline is in modern day? Kinda doesn't work as a prequel to an older movie? Didn't see it yet- maybe Ill check it out- on demand. Did see "Hitchcock" with Anthony Hopkins- not bad, mostly based around how much struggle he had to get Psycho made and past the Hollywood ratings board, didn't realise his wife had so much input in his movies either.

Big fan, as well. I didn't realize it was suppose to be a prequel before watching it. Not sure if they even consider it one. As a big Psycho fan, I'll keep watching. I think the first episode offered a good amount of creepiness, violence, and was a little vulgar. Not bad for cable TV.

I guess I just assumed it was a prequel, maybe they're making it a different storyline altogether. Either way I'll check it out for sure. Thanks for the info

No but we did own one about that time. My grandfather built it to sell but my grandmother and her sister wanted to run it. Lots of spooky stories about the crap that went on in that place. He finally put it up for sale the day he caught my great aunt just flipping the sheets over instead of taking them off to wash them. She thought it would save money. Besides the previous occupants were only there a couple of hours.
She didn't get it. Granddad did.
