http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013...mily-services/ What is wrong with people , a pic of a kid holding a weapon the right way triggers a visit from the PD.

Link didn't work for me. Seems to me that there are many reasons not to live in NJ. Taxes, political corruption in addition to insane anti gun laws. Don

That's happened in quite a few other states. Notice that the officers didn't escalate what was going on because they new dyfs was FOS. NJ isn't a horrible state, but it does have it's share of problems. It's better then living in NY for sure.

Why did he even let them in his house. I had two cops knock on my door about a year ago wanting to come in and discuss something. I explained I would be glad to talk to them on the front steps. Some woman made some false statements about something, and once I pointed it out they went and charged her with making false statements. No reason to let the state in your home without a warrant. Well at least they have yet to take that right away, but I bet they are trying to.

NJ
High taxes
Expensive to live
Expensive homes
Rude people
Crime
Cant have tinted windows
2 license plates on your car
Cops are like vultures waiting and watching everywhere with the speed traps
Congestion, traffic, construction, tolls every few miles on parkway.
Gun laws are horrible!
You are treated like a criminal instead of law abiding citizen because you want to purchase a handgun!
Other then all that, I guess its ok

Decent schools, good beaches, good entertainment, plenty of shopping, the boardwalk, good fishing, decent hunting, decent boating, great food, shall I continue?

They could always move to gun friendly Colorado.
Or maybe Texas where the schoolkids pledge allegiance to the Mexican flag.

You forgot my favorite one - the NJ prisoner is not allowed to pump their own gas. We've been told it's a safety thing. Despite the other 49 states residents being capable, the NJ prisoner will light himself, his car and the entire gas station on fire. I am on the fast track out, leaving behind a business valued at $110,000. It's worth it.

Wrong on all counts:
Schools that waste money
Beaches where they charge you a fortune to touch sand
No entertainment at all
Shopping is the only thing to do
Fishing where you constantly get harassed by wardens
You could find better food almost anywhere
Just keep kidding yourself that it's a great state. You forgot to mention all the pending gun control legislation that might put us down to 5 shot weapons, 10 if we're lucky.

You forgot to mention that most of the state is built on top of a toxic waste site. The most scenic part of the state is called The Pine Barrens. I used to go to the Jersey Shore years ago. While walking along the beach we could smell the human waste in the ocean, had to step over what looked like piles of medical waste, and one of my friends stepped on a hypodermic needle.
Yeah, Jersey is great.

Yea; I guess getting pissed on is better than getting **** on
Sorry but I HATE the NE, couldn't get me to live anywhere north of the Carolinas for a $million (and I'm out of Colorado in a few years when the wife and I can draw pensions).

I would love to go home and see my brother but I wouldn't step foot in that state again if you paid me. I'm from Cape May County, which is a pretty nice area, but I will never go back.

Shouldn't the thread title have been,... " Reasons not to live in NJ"?

I have TWO reasons to not live in New Jersey:
Crazy gun laws there.
Crazy ex wife lives there.

No. But the front plate serves as an aid to law enforcement in picking out stolen cars, suspect vehicles, amber alerted vehicles, etc.
