The beauty of it is, the AWB amendments will tank the bill in the House

Watch what the other hand is doing. Democraps are playing with a loaded deck and extra cards up their sleeves. They want universal background checks and their goal is to make them so stringent and expensive no one will be able to get through them.

Now isn't the time to relax. Now is the time to fix bayonets and go after the bastids.

The war is not over, not by a long shot. There is still the possibility of an AWB, there is still the possibility of a magazine ban, and the anti-gun bill is still very much alive and kicking. They took one small chunk off the bill, but we want the entire bill gone, not just one small chunk.

They will try to slip these things in as an addendum to what does pass.

Awesome news that the AWB got dropped but just like others have said, don't give up on the issue just yet. It's far from over. My state as well as others have proposed bills for gun control. Keep up the good fight guys!

I'm watching him and Michael Moore, the butthurt is palpable.

It's quite sad that they honestly think they are the "majority".

For gods sake, FPSRussia gets far better ratings than Piers!!

These propaganda networks are in full panic mode because their best efforts to lie and manipulate have utterly failed.

Democrats will never give up trying to void the Second Amendment as long as anti-rights candidates keep getting elected and re-elected.

Don't be lulled into thinking your Democrat representative or senator is pro-Second Amendment. Joe Manchin of West Virginia produced a campaign ad shooting a rifle, and after being elected to a full term he's now partnering with Charles Schumer in trying to seduce a few Republicans into signing onto their gun restrictions.

I used to vote straight party Democrat ticket until I finally accepted the truth; all Democrats are Stupak Democrats --- claiming to hold "core" beliefs until they have to vote those beliefs, only to cave in to party pressure. When Bart Stupak caved Democrats held a veto-proof Congress and the White House, and if Democrats succeed in holding the Senate while capturing the House in 2014 we will see the end of the Second Amendment as we know it.

Don't be lulled into believing your Democrat congressman/woman or senator are looking out for your constitutional rights. This is not you parents' Democrat Party.

Just curious, could a pro "Assault" weapons bill be introduced now to block any future attempt? Preferably one that could end up in front of the SCOTUS to put this to end once and for all?

Now that we have a little more time, seems to be the perfect opportunity to fire back??

Understand, though, that Feinstein is planning to offer the ban as an amendment from the floor. Smells as though an 11:59PM vote on a Saturday night could be on the horizon.

The proposed ban passed was passed last week by the Senate Judiciary Committee, along with three other measures. The others dealt with providing more school safety aid, expanding federal background checks on potential gun buyers and helping authorities prosecute illegal gun traffickers.
Does this mean we can finally get justice for "Fast and Furious"? ..... didn't think so.

I am told he will be following Alec Baldwin, who vowed to leave when Bush 43 got elected.

Interesting, in a troubling way...

The story on Feinstein's AWB failure was the lead on Drudgereport.com, last night, and now it is nowhere to be found on that page. Usually, the lead story will rotate down into the columns. Its disappearance makes me wonder if something has changed.

Ask for a mile, settle for a foot. Keep doing it. Eventually, you get your mile. The gun grabbers are nothing if not patient - their strategy seems to be to ask for ridiculous things, then settle for less. They then can claim to be 'reasonable', and say that they 'compromised'. Each time they 'compromise', we incrementally lose more of our rights. It's like a ratchet - it only moves in one direction - against us. Click, click, click... There will probably NEVER be a time to rest on our laurels in this regard.

Sen Blumenthal(d-ct) just said the awb could included in an amendment on the floor. He also says we need a database and ubc's must be national because guns come to ny, co, etc from free states.

Senator Blumenthal needs to find a job in the real world. I can't believe that idiot got voted in. (Ok, sadly, I can, but still....)
