Odd Ammo

Picked up a beretta 92fs from a friend. came with 6 rounds of 9mm that seem odd. headstamp says 9 Luger +P RP. and a little bit of red sealant around the primer. the odd bit is what appears to be a very deep cavity in the point with what look like small ball bearings and some epoxy filling the rest.

What you have is some MagSafe ammo.

Those are very likely NOT reloads, and they look very nice. I'd keep them in your pistol.

+1

I'd toss them in a drawer and fill the gun up with some modern JHP ammo.

posted from my stupid smart phone, please excuse any spelling mistakes.

Most reloaders do not use primer sealants. Those are factory loads.

Catching fragments, nuttin' but pellets and epoxy in that jacket.

I saw the aftermath of an AD with one of those into the display case of a jewelry counter. Busted the top glass but no damage to the glass shelf aprox 16 inches below that.
