I'd love to carry Win Ranger 127gr +p in all my 9mm carry guns but some of my pocket 9's do not allow +p. I understand I am sacrificing power but it is for a "cary anywhere mouse 9mm" which means "I'm always carrying"

So nobody out there carries handloaded ammo? I do, and yes I know the argument that it will get you in trouble in court for producing your own "killer" ammo. My argument is that I carry the same ammo that I train with, the same ammo that I compete with, and it is loaded to industry specs. How can anybody argue that 230 gr. .45 ACP loaded to 825-850 fps is "super killer" ammo? It is equivalent to military ball.
I have had more squibs and other malfunctions with factory ammo than I have had with my own loads. I prefer to use my own loads.

But if the Zombie Max is the same as the Hornaday Critical Duty with green plastic vs red... what's the difference? Same quality round.

I favor the 155 grain Golden Saber with AA#5 runs at about 1050FPS at the G27 muzzle. I found the FBI's ammo study and plagerized the results. I think it has to pass through lamenated vehicle glass, 4+ layers of denim creating a 5" entry cavity and travel 12" or more inches into ballistic geletin. I am sure I have stated some of this criteria incorrectly, please someone out there give us the exact FBI ammo requirements for .40

I have an LCP .380 on back order. My mother bought one for concealed carry and after shooting it I was really inmpressed with balance Ruger created between size, control and accuracy! I also like that is says made in Prescott Arizona just a few miles from where I live! Topping the little 9mm with the right projectile make it an actual lethal weapon. My only experience with .380 ACP is with a Rusky Makarov which was very reliable well built but likes to shoot around corners!

I would carry handloads, and have in the past, though right now I have enough factory ammunition which I am happy with. If I ever start carrying .44 Special again, I'll carry handloads. Probably a 250 grain Keith SWC at around 850 fps.

In 9mm, I carry Federal 147gr HSTs or Hornady 135gr +P Critical Duty. Depends on what I can find.
In .45 ACP, I carry Federal 230gr HSTs.
