wow @ those charges.

How the hell is there no ATTEMPTED MURDER????

Or I dunno, discharging a firearm within city limits??

Give me a break.. I'm not even a law scholar and I could come up with better, more-fitting charges than that.

Hope the manager makes a full recovery tho.

It's a developing case, so I would imagine they just wanted something to book him on while they figure out the rest of the charges.

I would certainly hope so..

I also hope this doesn't change Walmart's policy regarding concealed weapons.. it's ridiculous, I agree.

But don't blame all of us for what some dumbass did.. ya know?

If they do I guess I'll have to find a new place to shop, 30+ miles away.. lol rural living has it's downsides at times.

http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/akstatut.../02./11.61.210. covers the misconduct and perhaps the guy made the statement that he wasn't trying to kill the guy?

Oh ok, so in that case I can just shoot somebody, but first I tell them:

Now, I'm not trying to kill you - I'm just doing this to teach you a lesson...

And I won't receive an attempted murder charge??

LOL!! Again, give me a break..

And it all started because the dog wasn't on a leash inside the store. I'd be surprised if the charges don't escalate. We've heard no further word on the Wal-mart employee since going to the hospital for surgery. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Here, he'd be charged with first degree assault, same as in the story. Why?

Carries the same penalty and attempted murder requires proving that he intended to kill the guy, while 1st degree assault just requires proving that he did shoot him. Which sounds harder?

C'mon we all know what this was about. It wasn't about a dog off leash. It was about the ammo shelves being bare and this guy going nuts about it. I blame Obama.

Maybe he just wanted to shoot him up a bit, and not really kill him. Yeah that's what it was.

Doesn't really matter if that's reality or not - for the same penalty you can either try to convince a jury of what he did, or what he was thinking.

At the risk of causing discord, exactly what assistance does an unleashed service dog provide for a guy in a wheelchair?

They asked him to leave so he shot the manager? Why can't we just beat this guy to death ourselves for making all gun owners look like psychos?

I have seen a guy in a wheelchair with a PTSD service dog. It's a psychological thing, I guess.
