http://www.philstar.com/metro/2013/03/04/915476/62000-gun-holders-renew-licenses-pnp

Kailangan pa po ba I surrender young firearm sa police or pwede na mag renew sa crame agad?

Info would be of great help, thank you...

You have to surrender the firearm at Crame if your license has been expired before 2010; if it is 2011 or later, you only have to file the papers. This was how it was explained to me by the police officers who brought me a notice that one of my firearm licenses had lapsed a few months prior.

I'll be renewing soon and would like to know how much would it actually cost for the renewal if I go to Crame? Yung usual if I go to the gun store they would charge me 5k++. Yun nga lang wala nang hassle at pagod.

Any other requirements needed like cedula etc.

I just gathered this from their website

REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF FIREARMS LICENSE (INDIVIDUAL)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
 • FED Routing Slip
 • FA License Renewal Application Forms (White and Pink) w/ 2 pcs. 2x2 picture (colored) & CTC Numbers (Duly Notarized).
 • Original or Authenticated Photocopy of Old Firearms License Card / Temporary License
 • Order of Payment for Firearms License Fee (White Copy)
 • Order of Payment for License Card Fee and Records Authentication Fee (White Copy)
 • Order of Payment for Firearms Gun Safety Seminar (White Copy)
 • Special Bank Receipt (SBR) for Firearms License Fee
 • Special Bank Receipt (SBR) for License Card Fee and Records Authentication Fee
 • Special Bank Receipt (SBR) for Gun Safety Seminar Fee
 • Firearms Bond (from accredited bonding company for non-government employee applicants)

BTW I'm not sure why its not included here, but I was told that proof of billing is required as well.

I'm expecting the new comprehensive fa law to be implemented soon. Just waiting for the IRR. That changes the licensing and registration process right?

Sinabi mo pa Young Once, I just had my first 9mm FA license renewed last week and spent only less than 2K. No wonder these gun stores are making a killing out of this "service" during gun shows when you purchase a new one. I used to have my gun store renew the license for me but they used to ask me 5K for it so it's my first time to Crame.

Just don't forget to bring your ballpen just like in any government agencies because some gents there with IDs (who look like "legit" fixers ) would help you around but of course there's a fee after. I just handed 200 bucks to the old fella who helped me because it was lesser hassle for an idiot like me. I just have my old FA ID and a 2X2 photo.

Parking is a hassle because the area in front of the grand stand is always full so better take MRT for lesser inconvenience. But the whole process is quite efficient so I might renew mine again in a couple of years unless they change it drastically.

Buti na lang walang babati sa 'yo ng Happy Birthday pengeng pang merienda hehe

for us here sa Laguna
We'd have to include-
Gas to mla - 1000p
Toll fee -424p
Lunch and merienda - ???
Pasalubong - ????
Cost of susot sa traffic and parking sa crame - ???
I'd rather go to the gunstore

I used to think that if you get there by 8:30am, parking
would still be available. Maybe it was a freak occurrence,
but one time (2011?), it was so bad that, yes, we were
able to park; but by 9:15am, when we were all done, we
couldn't leave because someone had parked in a manner
that boxed-in over two dozen cars. Hinanap pa kung sino
and it took half an hour.

Crame is only a 20-30 minute drive from here, even in mid-
heavy traffic, but after the incident I described above, I've
resigned myself to the convenience of the 'gunstore route'.
PBD is only 5 minutes' drive from here, and I get to shop for
ammo and stuff while I'm at it. PBD doesn't charge as much
as what I'm reading in this thread ("5k", etc.).

My experience is, 6t for a new fa lic. 2t+ for renewal. New lic is good for 5yrs ba? And renewed ones are 2yrs. This is not Crame-direct.

Hi mga Sir, thank you sa inputs just to update.

Na katok nga din ako so binigyan ako ng notice to visit the police station and written yung options na i renew or kung ayaw na i renew isuko nalang yung firearm. 1 week ang binigay na time frame.

Punta ako ng station sa munisipyo and inasikaso naman ako ng maayos. pina renew kona din sa kanila since pwede naman pala, mag form na sila agad dun then 1 to 3 weeks daw processing since madami na nagpaparenew. quote was 5,730 for .45 cal and 7 years expired .

fill up ng form dikit ng 2 pcs 2x2 pictures.

was expecting mas malaki, so binayaran ko na at binigyan ng pang meryenda yung police. and was advised na isuko muna yung firearm habang naka process. binigyan niya ako ng claim stub, and acknowledgment form. punta kami ng bahay kinuha niya firearm then daan daw siya sa malapit na police station sa bahay para magawan ng report. after mga 1 hour katok ulit siya sa bahay at binigay yung police report stating na sinuko ko nga temporary yung firearm.

Will update pag nakuha ko na license.

They were very helpful but I couldnt think of having my gun sit with them or with anyone for that matter. Hopefully there was an option not to surrender it given that the mere fact you filed to renew it means you genuinely do not intend to declare it as a loose firearm.

I yes sir but unfortunately it had no choice, it was part of the procedure. Anyway since I was at fault for not renewing the license, also the officer showed me their locker were they keep the other FA's they are holding. May mga triple pa ng presyo ng baril ko...
