I finally joined the dark side and bought a Glock

I bought my first Glock today, a Gen4 G19. At $575 I didn't get the best price, but I'm excited to get it nonetheless.

Congrats!
I bought a used G19 Gen4 3 weeks ago for $495. Like Brand new with all accessories!

Congrats on your purchase. The G19 is a wonderful pistol.

May I suggest that you stock up with 15 round magazines ASAP. One never really knows what the future will bring.

IMHO, that's not a bad price...when I bought my G19 Gen3 back in January, the Gen 4 was about $595, IIRC...

Anyway...go shoot it...enjoy!!

$595 seems to be the going rate for new glocks around these parts. My local Fleet Farm and Gander Mountain have NIB Glocks for $599+Tax's and Fees right now.

Thats really not a bad price. The used ones are only $100 cheaper right now!

Welcome to the dark side. Now feel the force going through you.

(best evil laugh) mmmmuuuuuhhaaaa

Serious note, hope you like it. Although I have other handguns, I decided a while back that the Glock was the only personal protection gun for me.

I've tried different guns too. I shot a RIA 1911, USP, M&P, SD40. Couldnt find anything that shot and performed like my OLD glock.

Now you've done it !! The thing I HATE about Glocks is their addictiveness ! Is that a word ?? You bought your first one, but I promise it won't be your last one !!

Seems like a fine price considering the current climate. I paid $705 for my G35 in January and was thrilled to find one at MSRP.

Congrats. You've just opened your eyes to the no nonsense, practical side of shooting--the meat and potatoes of handgunning!

I made the decision last week also to buy a G19 Gen4, new at my lgs for $563. Now the problem is finding a supply of ammo for a reasonable price. My son has had a G26 for quite a while and after shooting it I felt the G19 just seem to feel right/fit in my hand better. I have (5) 15-round mags with 2 on order, just need ammo.........

I too, came over to the dark side, bought a 17C with night sights, two mags for $600. I feel good about it. Just glad to have found one! Went to the range, 150 rounds thru her, I am a believer. Looking for my next one...
