Old Harley Davidson

I fired-up my '73 XLCH today, music to my hears, aside from that no other good news at this moment.

In 1968 I bought a '66 XLCH. Sounded great, but a real POS to kick over at times. (Magneto ignition)

Owned it about three months until it was stolen. Took insurance money and bought a new Triumph T120R.

My second mistake in buying a motorcycle......

shovels were downright underrated. work on with basic hand tools, a ****load of torque. and with a bit of maintenace, would outlive it's rider.

Define "a bit." My FXS kept shaking itself to pieces to the point that nobody would follow me as the potential for personal injury was far to great. I still see it around these days...the guy I sold it to hasn't had me whacked yet. HH
