Pmags back in stock here, listing says Colorado residents only but they went into my shopping cart just fine.

Listing says if it goes in the cart, it's in stock.

Call me crazy then. I've paid $19 plenty of times for PMAGS. I don't think it's "WAY" overpriced at all. Especially considering nobody else has PMAGS in stock.

Somebody who applied for vacation time from work 6 months in advance, is traveling hundreds of miles for a class, has booked a hotel room, and paid a $400 course fee for a carbine course probably has over $1000-1200 bucks invested in his anticipated experience, not even counting his carbine. Do you really expect him to wait around scouring the net for weeks to try and save 6-8 bucks per magazine? Some guys actually spend more time shooting than trying to pinch the last penny on gear. Everyone has to find the right balance for their goals, resources, and lifestyle. My average civilian carbine client is a college graduate in his or her 50's who makes 80-150,000/year and has college age kids. 40% of those clients are women who spend more than the price of a magazine on a regular mani-pedi. Hell, half of the men look like they get manicures, too.

It's the guards from the strategic petroleum reserve who carry the DPMS rifles. Had a guard here recently with a Les Baer who bought a bunch of Pmags @ $25 per and 1500 rounds of Federal XM193 for .65 cpr though. Still not sure what to think about that.

Retailers that mark up products by 50% just because people are desperate and will pay it don't deserve to have customers when the market settles down.

Most consumer goods are marked up over 50%. Have all of the retailers in America been ripping us off all this time? The most efficient economic model devised in the history of man is price rationing. Your entitled to your opinion, but many of us value a retailer who has what we need in stock more than a retailer who sold what we needed to someone else who would not have been willing to pay as much a we would pay.

If he planned ahead well enough to schedule the class and his vacation 6 months in advance, perhaps he should have planned ahead and he could have bought his magazines for 1/2 that price.

No, a $20 magazine is not a deal breaker, but it is still 50% over retail just because there are people desperate enough to pay for it.

We're not talking about normal markup/margin, we're talking about jacking up prices just because there is a high demand. Magpul has not jacked up the wholesale cost, but some retailers feel compelled to jack up theirs. I stand by my *opinion* that these retailers don't deserve to have customers once the market calms down.

Some of us plan ahead so that we don't have to pay jacked up prices. The last 30-round PMAGs that I bought were at $10 each. The 9mm ammo that I shot last week was purchased April 2008 for under 19 cents a round. When I bought my 33-round Glock 9mm mags I paid $26 each and they had free shipping...

I'm not about to tell others how to spend their money. Just sharing what I'm willing to do with mine.

Cheers.

That person should have prepared before booking the class.

Learned a long time ago: if you fail to plan you plan to fail.

So when you book a Memorial day trip to the beach in December, do you buy swim trunks, suntan lotion, etc. in December? It has been 20 years since the last magazine panic, so it is not like it is a forseeable event. We have mags for those who did not foresee the unforeseeable.

We have mags available because we know that unforeseeable events happen, even though we do not know what they will be or when they will happen. Our job is to see that our clients succeed, not to chide them for inconsequential things.
