Option to buy a BCG

I am watching an auction on gunbroker for a BCM BCG for $245.00. They seem to all be right around that price. I keep trying to tell my wife that I really need this and it doesn't seem to be working.LOL. Should I throw my bid for the asking price and hope to win it? Or are these becoming more readily available?

Availability is getting better, and $245 is about $40 over what BCM is selling them for when they post a batch for sale. Even the current BCM is quite a bit higher than it used to be, thanks to the mandatory NRA donation.

Hold off. Another month or two, and we will be practically swimming in BCGs.

Wait on a BCM. They'll be back to normal prices soon> I've seen a couple for a little over $200 recently, whereas they were 300+ a month ago.

Not true.... it's $20 over what BCM is selling them for and about $8 over what someone would pay BCM once they get it shipped. My last invoice from BCM was $237.95 out the door.

OP:
Are you waiting on a BCG to finish your build? If not, I'd start with the other components first and buy the BCG last. When the time comes, you can either pay the current gunbroker price (will probably go down a little more) or hold out for BCM to have them in stock. No sense in paying a premium now, knowing that prices are going down, if you don't need it today.

If you need it today, to shoot your new gun, then drop $245 on it and call it a day.

It is the last piece to my build. But I have my lower siting at my friends local gun store waiting for my form 1 tax stamp to come in. So I do have time.

Both Rainier Arms and G&R Tactical had BCM Bolt Carrier Groups in-stock today. Grant had some available last week as well, IIRC. They did not last long at G&R though.

I have a BCM and a Core 15 BCG sitting in the safe waiting for me to get the parts together to build the two stripped receivers I have. Paid $159 for the BCM and the Core15 ended up being free. (These are new, not used)

Sorry to brag, but I feel good about this.

I bought one of these for my BCM upper:

https://www.fourguysguns.com/store/p...-carrier-group

They look real good, though I think they are out too. Site won't let me add one to my cart.

Good Luck

M

Out of stock by 2pm?

But you posted at 2:08 PM.

Specifying the time zone really helps get rid of the confusion.

Easiest stress free way to get a bcm BCG is to buy an upper and charging handle with the BCG from them for 740$ shipped.keep the BCG and sell the upper and charging handle

Pretty much what I did but I wanted a bcm upper anyway

I did that for my last upper. I just so happened to luck into the Rainier Arms option yesterday.
