Hey from Cali
Hey All,
First time Glock owner here. Just got myself a G17 a few weeks back and I'm in love with it. I'm stoked to be a member of a group dedicated to Glocks. I've got a ton of questions so I look forward to browsing the forums.
I've got a burning question that I can't seem to get a solid answer to: so I avoid firing FMJ, such as Wolf? Someone told me it will gunk up the internal workings, which I won't be able to clean.
I'm hoping to learn as much as I can. Being in California leaves me pretty restricted, especially when it comes to high velocity mags, so I'm trying to cope with just owning several 10 round mags...

Nope. You want to watch running LEAD. If you shoot lead (no jacket) you need to keep an eye on the barrel cleaning to make sure it is cleaned out before you shoot any jacketed rounds.
My condolences on being in Kali & welcome!
