I think most Chivas is terrible but that is a big screw up.

With that amount of whisky lost accidentally, it had to be a new whisky somewhere in or right at the end of the distillation process, I'd think. At least that would mean the lost whisky didn't mean a loss of years of aging.

If you think about it, ironically it all get's flushed down the toilet eventually, but I wouldn't mind if I passed it through my kidneys first.
