I believe they are liars, but if that is their choice, they should do it. I don't see that being any kind of argument that she should be allowed to kill other people by preventing them from having guns.

Kind of like on the internet forums - People continually flip someone off who they know is obligated to not break the rules in response. Yeah, usually that type of stupidity eventually yields the rewards that are earned.
And then there are those trying so hard to be offended that they're imagining things that haven't even been said in a thread.

Oh yeah, we were pretty brutal to him. Keep in mind, this was hashed out over a period of over five years. He was totally consistent - he wouldn't lift a finger to protect his family, other than dialing 911. Of course he claimed that his entire family was of the same mindset.

I just imagined someone breaking into his home and cornering him, when his wife sneaks up behind the intruder and puts a 9" kitchen knife in the back of his neck. She then leaves the guy for a real man, and all life happily ever after. Except him, but he's a wussy sack of crap, so no one cares.

I agree with this.
Sacrificing your life for a criminal is not my choice. But we each have personal choices to make with our lives, and I feel my and my family's lives are more important than a thug's.
No one can ask the righteous deceased if, at their last breath, they still consider this to be the best choice they could have made for themselves or their loved ones. No do-overs in death.

My grandma was is about the most liberal antigun person you could find. Now after her house has been broken into twice, she is armed.
If this woman would rather die than use a gun, its her choice.

Just based on his self-defense stance, you can only imagine his stances on other topics. We did have great fun with him after he posted the night before the Coakley/Brown special Senate election after Ted Kennedy died that we should all get used to saying "Senator Coakley" because, as a Massachusetts resident, he knew for a fact she would win and win handily. For the next two years, whenever he'd bloviate about some political matter, we'd tell him to write to Sen. Coakley and state his position.

Her choice of no self defense is hers to make, even if it seems ridiculous to us. As someone else said, her instincts might kick in with a willingness to fight if the threat was real and in her face.
I don't understand folks who refuse to eat meat. I don't understand conscientious objectors. I don't understand people who hoard stuff in their homes to the point of creating an unsafe environment. The fact that I don't get it doesn't mean anything except...I just don't get it.

Annette Stevens president of Springfield, Illinois chapter of the Million Mom March was arrested for possession of an illegal gun that had its serial number ground off, and drugs. She plead guilty on the drug charges in exchange for dropping the gun charges.
HECTOR MARROQUIN, the founder of a gang intervention program called NO GUNS, was last week for being in possession of a firearm.
