Parking lots not trouble-free for gun carry permit holders

Parking lots not trouble-free for gun carry permit holders

Pay attention to what your state may be doing with all the new firearm language going on in your state.
"Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened."

"If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters".

"A person who won't reason has no advantage over one who can't reason."

"Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored."

“Ignorance is a lot like alcohol: the more you have of it, the less you are able to see its effect on you.”

"Public records obtained by AP show that 2,133 people have had their permits revoked or suspended for criminal charges or orders of protection over the last two years." Since that data is for two years, that's approximately 1067 out of 400,000 or 267 per 100,000 permit holders per year. That's approximately 1 out of every 375 permit holders. That's an extremely low crime committing group by the article's own numbers. In fact Tennessee law enforcement officers misconduct is at a much higher rate. According to the CATO Institute in 2010 TN LEO's had a misconduct rate of 1422 per 100,000 or 1 out of every 70. So basically the law enforcement misconduct rate is more than five times higher than the suspension rate of handgun carry permit holders. A study in Texas actually showed that handgun permit holders were 13 times less likely to commit ANY crime that that of the general population. I take issue with this article trying to insinuate that handgun permit holders are some type of menace to society when in fact they are one of the most law abiding groups you can find.
