Drudge Report

You might find it interesting to scan the Drudge Report web site. The headlines alone make it clear that these are "the crazy years".

One of my daily stops for news.

When "weird" is the new "normal". Examples:

Chicago is the murder and gun control Capitol of the nation with NYC and DC in the hunt for both titles.

Bankers "steal" billions with derivatives of derivatives, the three bond rating agencies - which by federal law have an oligopoly on a required service - give these things AAA ratings, and all get bonuses and none go to jail for fraud.

The federal government's non-budgets.

The federal government claim that reaching a balanced budget in ten years will eliminate our cumulative deficit problem.

The NFL commissioner being paid $29 million last year.

Palosi worried about her dignity.

There are more... :-(

Drudge Report IS the only real news left.

I don't think we're in "crazy years" though. More media coverage doesn't necessarily mean more crazy... just means more media coverage of crazy events.

Don't ever limit yourself to just one news source.

I prefer Fox News (website and TV) but I also check the Drudge Report, CNN, and for comic relief, I sometimes even take little peek at pMSNBC!

I watch O'Reilly & Hannity daily, but I also like to check out Erin Burnett, Piers Morgan, and any others that may have an interesting guest, or special topic that interests me.

I probably watch more news and talk shows than most people, but at some point and time, I simply turn the TV away from the news channels for a while and take a break from reality, especially when they seem to be "hyping" a story in order to increase their ratings?
Who can watch the same story (different channel, different talking head) day after day without getting burned out?

OH man. I listen to neocon talkshows on the radio whan I'm drivng at work, and it's just shocking how they cover the same BS all week. Last week it was the carnival cruiseliner and this week it's bladerunner. It's absolutely disgusting how much news they leave out. Intellegent people listen to this crap and have no idea that there is actual news out there!

Thank you so much Matt Drudge!
