Ouch, calling me a liberal really hurts, such a biting statement, I may just retire from comedy based on that well worded destruction you just laid upon thee.

You have every right to think I'm not funny, maybe you're right, but I did it-which is more than I can say for you. Why don't you write some material, perform it on stage, and upload it to the internet? I'll gladly judge your performance.

And Chute, you're a one trick pony, if calling me bald is the best you've got, you need to try a little harder.

And awkward was what I was going for, my entire set was about awkward moments-so if I came across that way, I did my job.

PBC, you look like Butthead from the classic MTV show-no offense.

None of it was particularly funny but i think youll get better. None of it was particularly terrible either but some of it was pretty creepy and awkward. Tone down the creepiness.

Nick, thanks for the CONSTRUCTIVE feedback sir, I appreciate it. And I agree to an extent, my next show is March 10th, I'll have new material, and I'll try to be less creepy.

No prob - I get it all the time. Thankfully I have a buddy that looks like Bevis so it makes for good Holloween costumes.

Comedy is supposed to be funny and entertaining. That set was not funny or entertaining.

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap camcorder? this show was shot with a camera phone, which is less than ideal. I don't have 1200 bucks to spend on something super crazy, but I need something that has good audio, and a decent picture. The smaller the better.

I personally think the nun/black girl joke is my best bit-maybe some people don't know people call black girls sister? I don't know. I think I should have opened with that.

And 427, thank you for your feedback, like I said, it was all new material, I now have a better idea for what works and what doesn't.

Is the thing about you being a liberal and Oboma voter true? Or, is that supposed to be a joke?

Well, I voted for him in 2008, not this past year. And I'm a liberal, but I own a Glock, and fully support the 2nd amendment, but I'm also pro-choice, pro gay marriage.....so yeah.

Not too bad for that type venue. Felt like you didn't have enough material to fill your set and were trying to stretch out what you did have? Maybe it was just in the delivery? The rest can be improved with some more mic time.

Thanks for the feedback, I love the Tony Soprano quote, The Sopranos will always be my favorite show of all time. I agree about the material, and trying to stretch it out, some of the bits went on too long, which is a mortal sin in stand up. I'm not good at keeping time in my head, so I wasn't sure if I was on track, when it came to having a full 10 minutes. I rehearsed the material, and it was 10 minutes, but when you get on stage, you tend to talk alot faster than when you're alone.

I definitely want/need more stage time, there really is no replacement for being up there, it's the only way I'll get comfortable.

Hi Mister Crowe, I personally have dreams of being a stand up comedian and have written some material that needs to be polished and performed by myself. I do have a memory problem that stands in my way but will still give it a go, Hopefully Soon.

First of All, You had the guts to do it! And you did a full ten min. most of these guys here have NO CLUE what it takes to even stand there for 2 min let alone 10 Min.

Never Give Up ... Do your research on how to find things to write about. One way is to just watch a movie or read the news and make a bit about of what you see or read like it was happening to you or your thoughts on it. They dont know if it really happened to you. They just want to hear a great story and if its funny the better.

Soooo delivery is very important , so practice , practice, with a real mike with headphones if need be. live like in your home or where ever you practice , actually see the audience . Watch other comics free on youtube and learn the timing of telling the story , jokes. Timing Timing , Timing,,,,, the spacing and speed of how you say the words and larger story.

I feel there is a problem with your voice too many variances may be from the mike you used that nite and how you held it. it seemed that a small difference on you holding it distance wise made a large difference in the sound of your voice and coupled with how you really sound just did not sound good even if your timing and story was good.

So consider to work with better mikes mike covers or soundboard / soundboard settings check on internet on how to work you voice... try a voice coach or check online for free voice coach information . I hear some drink some olive oil before going up. some do cocaine to change there voice , there are other tricks that work for different people.

Please pm me if you want to exchange numbers and talk about the business. Or at least convince you to give up the liberal ideas and skip becoming a right winger and get right to the next revolution and get rid of both political parties who are selling us out and start fresh.

Wish you the best... Dennis

You have balls to get up there like that. The material wasn't so awful, delivery and timing is key. Jim Norton has made a pretty good career out of being awkward and creepy, you'll get better!

Truly sick and bizarre.

Be advised that your fellow liberal Jared Lee Loughner may be tempted to sue you for stealing his look.

I got the feeling that you were nervous, and it kind of ruined it. I do think the potential is there, though. And to only do it twice AND put it out on a forum is a hell of a thing.

All liberals are either stupid, or evil.

Thus, you're either stupid or evil, and you can go **** yourself for voting for Obama. You are part of the problem in this country.

With regards to your link... you're not funny, you're bald, and you're kind of creepy in a bad way. If you were somehow my entertainment for the evening, I'd be pissed at whoever hired you.

In sum:
Go kill yourself.

Some of these posts should provide good comedy material for somebody out there.
