I consider myself to be reasonably fit. I walk 1 to 2 miles 5 days a week, I eat only meats, veggies, fruits and nuts.
I've lost almost 13 pounds in 3 weeks by going back to Primal. My goal is to get back to the 140s by Summer.

Are you physically fit?
Depends where you look.

LOL
Very true. I am not a chubby chaser. I abide by the old code of "No Fat Chicks" and have no problem saying it.

No, I'm not fit.
I'm not obese and I'm 20-30 pounds lighter than a year and change ago, but I have a small bit of a belly. Too much time in the classroom and writing papers with pizza at 2 AM, not enough time at the gym.
It doesn't help that I really, really hate the gym. I don't mind exercise, but the smell, the other people, the clutter, and the expensive parking..no thanks.

Check out something you can do at home - like Insanity or Physique 57.

I've replaced Insanity with Physique 57 because a girl I was working out with, who I consider to be amazingly fit, hurt herself doing Insanity and wanted to change - but it has worked well for others I know.

I recently (like a day or two ago) got a Kinect for my Xbox360 and Nike + Fitness. Stupid, I know, but probably better than nothing. I'll look at those two you mentioned.

I'm in pretty good shape. Pretty much continuously for the last 6 years I run 6-8 miles 4 times a week at around a seven minute mile pace, because I'm a fool that actually likes to run. I also do strength training and ab work 3 times a week, and continuously knock out sets of push-ups and sit-ups throughout the day. I have a healthy diet and am 5'11 and 150 pounds. That being said, I'm one of those skinny fat guys. I have a small gut and love handles that I can't seem to get rid of no matter how much cardio I do. The flip side is my arms and legs don't get any bigger despite the strength training, because of all the cardio. I've pretty much resigned myself to this body type. It could be worse though...before I joined the military I was around 220 pounds with the same toothpick arms and legs.

Well yes I am. I'm 55 and do 1hr of cardio at >950kal/hr 3-4 times a week along with weights and core another 3-4 times a week. I cycle, windsurf and hike 15-20 mile days in the High Sierra.
I think fitness, stealthy mobility and practical skills will be far more important than a small armory and several tons off ammo in a disaster scenario.
Bunkers and armories are the modern equivalent of medieval castles - big stationary targets full of goodies that others will covet.

Just remember guys you are only as good as what you just completed. I once lifted, I once ran, I once could do doesn't equal what you can do. I am 35 and remind myself of that every workout, and try to remind my clients, but the workout usually does for me. :-)

I'm not sure about "physically fit", but I am "in shape".
The shape of a snowman, maybe. ROFL

Haha, your be considered healthy enough for sex upon discharge from a hospital after a heart attack. Seriously.
As for me, my BMI is 22 and I can easily bench press more than my weight. I don't run much, but have no problem maintaining a 10 minute run at a decent pace on a level treadmill. I also eat a salad most lunches and work out at least once per week. More if my schedule allows. I don't touch fast food, no sodas, and no high fructose corn syrup as much as possible.

Sounds like you are built for running. Good stuff.

Not fit here at all. Was advancing quite well in strength training, but had a hopefully, temporary health setback the past few weeks.
The important thing is to try to do something 3-5 times a week.

I'm 55 and run 3 miles a day. But, I'm not burning the track up any more like I used to.

Nope.. I am cripple ass heck. I have trouble walking to the mailbox. When I train with my firearms I to not practice moving and shooting as I surely will trip and do more damage to myself seeking cover. The best I can hope for is getting into a prone position on purpose and doing what I can from there. I am sure I will make a fine first victim. But heck. Who wants to live forever? I will work with what I got and be happy with that.

It isn't hard to be fitter than most around you as this country is populated by people who remind me of pigs that walk upright. I assume the original poster meant by medical standards and just being able to do something simple like pass the Presidents Physical Fitness Test.

Round is a shape!
I'm unhappy because I eat... I eat because I'm unhappy. ITS A VICIOUS CYCLE!
lol I need to hit the gym, or get out when it warms up. My cardio is almost non-existent. I would like to work back up to 5 miles on the elliptical again, but took the summer/fall/winter off completely after I hurt my knee last year but I still walk 2.5 miles a day 4 days a week.

People who stockpile physical stuff without the physical ability to care for it, are simply stockpiling resources for others.

I'm fit- probably more fit than most 42-yr old men. Fitness is part of my lifestyle and part of my job (Army). I do more weight training these days than I do cardio-- I've had 10 surgeries on my left knee. What I need to be better at is eating healthier. I'm not a junk food king by any stretch of the imagination but I should cut back on processed foods, etc. I've started to pay attention to how I feel after I eat certain things. It's amazing to notice the differences between certain types of food.
