Just hit the trifecta!
Slow night.....until.....car stop for left of center x3...with the roads, I gave them the benefit of the doubt...long story short...three people in the vehicle...driver ovmi, open container, refused all tests...middle passenger, 4 warrants out of the neighboring town, no bond....passenger side, open container, public intox...so a slow night no more...knee deep in paperwork!

Refusing everything makes it so easy, They're so dumbfounded when you tell them to turn around and place their hands behind their back.
Good catch! Way to get them off the roads as well!

Good going!!! I haven't arrested three or more for about 4 years now. Back in the early '90's, I arrested three after checking subjects drinking in a car for a neighboring jurisdiction's traffic warrants. What was funny was that one owed only 1 or 2 dollars left on his warrants. He went in with his buddies. A warrant is a warrant!

Oh the stories that would have created....three drunks handcuffed together...the two females, who, by the way went from screaming at each other to crying to "I love you, man" and back several times hand cuffed to a drunk old guy...I guess I could have put him in the middle....

Our policy dictates that only one arrestee per car except for court and then only male/male or female/female. I would have had to call for backup to transport three!

It took me a long time to figure out why I always had to transport the female arrestee in a DV arrest.
Then I figured it out after one peed on my glass partition.

I had an idea that she had dope on her. Blew a .06 but was off her rocker intoxicated so I took her to county for a urine test and to book her for OVI and drug parapheralia. While en route she tried to stand up a couple of times all the while calling me a rapist and claiming she was going to sue me for the handcuffs being too tight . Almost to the jail and she stands up on the back seat and does an almost rehearsed move of pulling her pants down, flipping around, sticking her cheeks on the glass and starts peeing. When I asked her what she was doing she said "I'm pissing B****". OK then.
six months later she didn't think it was funny when the judge maxed her out on that OVI and a couple of subsequent arrests from my coworkers.
Last I heard she picked up a "harrassment with bodily fluids" charge in the county.
And yes, I can provide the NIBRS report along with my very detailed narrative for anyone who asks.

You said trifecta, and I thought of what me and my old partner used to talk about. They would have "alum nights" at the frats and sororities. Daughter and mom or son and dad would go out and get drunk together, and some would have way too much. We'd end up hooking both. We were always looking for the "trifecta": daugher, mom, grandma or son, dad, and grandpa. Kid and two parents didn't count - we were looking for three generations. When I read this title, I thought you had hit that, which would be quite the trick.
We never hit the trifecta. Now that I'm a day fag and don't patrol bar districts at night, it will likely never happen.

I got four out of a welfare check one night. Didn't even have time to run the tag before the driver decided to turn down a dead end road. Shortly after the DEAD END sign, he pulls over, turns his hazards, and rolls down his window. Okay. I approach and immediately smell alcohol and weed. GOTCHYA! Got the driver for seven charges (I think), two of which were felonies. Got the three passengers on two misdemeanors each.

Over the years I have learned that there are two types of drunks: Cupids and Stupids. Cupids are the one that say "I love you man" and the sort. The Stupids are the ones that like to be violent or do other stupid things.

Cupids and stupids, love it. The ones I hated the most were the ones that just had to serenade us. As a medic, it was just during the ride. But working in the ER, they could sing loudly and very, very badly for hours. If the docs cooperated, 5 & 2 would shut them up (Haldol and Ativan).
