Which wouldn't have prevented any of the recent mass shootings.

I contacted both my senators. Not that it really matters. 1 is for us and 1 is against us.

Such legislation serves to create a nation of criminals - few Americans would comply with such a royal fiat.

Government needs everyone to be some kind of criminal, so they can be intimidated and manipulated. So many laws on the books now, often contradictory, that anyone can be arrested and charged with some violation at any time.

Curiously, having so many laws which are irrationally (meant to say erratically) enforced means the United States is not a nation of laws but of men.

Senators agree on control of the population. Any way any time. Any topic.

They are politicians. No good will come from them.

Note one of the two proposed exemptions: a valid carry permit. That could become the biggest recruiting motives for getting MORE permit holders in the US!

Ah! I missed that! Thank you for pointing that out.

Of course, the alert must be maintained for any last moment amendment that eliminates that exemption.

Not really. Getting it passed is the important thing. They'll come along and eliminate the exceptions later.

Think about how horrible OH's CCW permit was when it first passed. Then slowly but slowly we got the exceptions eliminated and now it's finally worthwhile to get the CCW.

The only way to make sure that doesn't happen is not let it pass at all, even with exceptions.
