Curious about Liberty Halo Point?
Prior to this test, I had zero experience testing fragmenting rounds so I was very interested in testing this new load. I just noticed it at Midway several weeks ago, so I'm thinking it's still pretty new. As always, this is not a recommendation or endorsement of the tested product. It's a creative outlet for me and I hope entertainment for you.
The 45 ACP was not available at the time I was doing the test. I hope to get a box soon.

If nothing else, the energy dump was impressive. Hopefully, we'll see some real "funded" testing results in the future.

How about some real STREET PERFORMANCE? This is what matters when the rubber hits the road, not shooting blocks of inanimated jello.

Geez, the OP has to shoot people in order to satisfy you?
Lighten up.
BTW, it is 'inanimate' (lifeless)- not 'inanimated' (once living, now lifeless)
I am grateful that the OP generously provides these tests.
Keep 'em comin', Ljutic!

I've had people ask me to shoot pork shoulders and steel doors, but you are the first to ask me go shoot the street.
I'm in your corner, believe it or not. I just wish I had access to real world data. Without that data, we have to use other means to collect data. If that happens to be blocks of gelatin or wet phone books, it's certainly better than no data at all.
I test stuff like Halo Point and Mag Safe because I'm interested in seeing how it's different than conventional/traditional ammunition. I'm sure others are too. Since I started testing, I don't believe I have ever told anyone to go buy anything that I've tested. I'm pretty careful about that.

This Halo bullet appears to be lead-free.

It is lead free. Copper colored metal with a nickel type coating. It's a trade secret, but that's what it looks like to me. It's mildly magnetic. The small fragments will stick to a magnet, but the heavier base will not.

Sounds like iron or steel.
