hurt by johnny cash is THE greatest cover to ever grace human ears. so much so that even the original artist (trent reznor) has admitted in interviews that he took the song to a much higher level than he ever thought possible and stated "no that's his song now and he's earned every bar of it".

next up would be marylin manson covering "sweet dreams", "down in the park", "suicide is painless" and "tainted love". with that being said understand that i am not a marylin manson fan. the dude just does great covers of certain songs.
