Then we decided to head back with a detour through southern Colorado (Alamosa, Pagosa Springs). It was a fun trip for me who had never been that far west before. We do regret not driving a couple hours more to see the Grand Canyon.

I've driven I-40 through there many dozens of times, headed to or from Flagstaff, AZ. It is a desolate area, but it has its own kind of beauty. I always like hitting Holbrook when westbound, because it means I am almost where I'm going and Holbrook will make anywhere you are headed look better, by comparison. Eric

Hunting is better in Mckean. If your friends camp is in Shinglehouse, my husband grew up there and goes back each year to hunt. Gets nothing. Sees nothing.

If you come up, let me know! I've still never met any GTers.

How do you post a photo so that the full photo shows up within the post?
You have to link the picture from a hosting site with img tags.

So if you upload your picture to photobucket, it will give you a link with the img tags already in it you can just copy and paste into here.

Or, you can click on the insert image button up top, and paste in the URL of the image you want to display.

Not my best, but I sure like it. Taken in Sitka, Alaska back in 2009 on a church mission trip.
