The very first program I ever saw on TV that was not selected by mom or dad was The Big Picture. If I remember right the TV screen was round.

I remember sitting in my PJs in front of the TV downstairs while everyone else was asleep watching it. I wish I could remember the episodes. I think I got up and watched it in the mornings for several weeks.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Picture_(TV_series)

Not embarrassing per se, but very, very unusual for someone who was probably still in single digits.

Probably Fullmetal Alchemist....

To my defense, my little brothers used to watch it when we were younger. That's my excuse....

OK, gotta chime in-- I looked through the thread but haven't seen these mentioned:

SCTV-- late 70's early 80's and before it went to pay cable. It was at its best when it was in the 1 a.m. time slot.

Doctor, Doctor!-- mid to late 80's. Only lasted a couple of seasons.

Reboot!-- mid to late 90's. Sort of a kids computer animated series, but (in the tradition of the great, old Warner Bros. cartoons) they would insert humor that required an adult to catch (not vulgar or anything, just references that would escape a child.)

And seconds too--
The Red Green Show
The Highwayman-- remember it had the Aussie guy, I think he went by the name "Jocko", that did the battery commercials?

And who could forget "Batman"? I loved this show-- of course I was in the first grade when it originally aired. I now realize this was one of the cheesiest and corniest shows ever produced! (It also had a short lived spin-off, "The Green Hornet", with Bruce Lee as Cato.)

No one has mentioned Knight Rider yet.
There was a show, I think it was called Shadow Chasers, it was on for maybe 2 seasons back in the 80's.

Planet of the Apes TV series from 1974. I think that it was only on one season.

Best Wishes! Pecos Bill out.

The Monkees and The Beatles cartoon show in the distant past.

TV Nation by Michael Moore in the past.

TMZ celebrity trash today.

Oh yeah, I also liked Baywatch.

Space 1999 and some prime time show, mid 90's, set in Key West only lasted a couple of seasons. Also loved Ultra Man when I was a kid.

There was also some show about stewardess's with Connie Selica in it, dang she was hot.
Corsairs and conrad, what's not to like?

I'll get the ball rolling: Father Dowling Mysteries. That is the one where Tom Bosley ( Father from Happy Days) was a priest who solved mysteries. I am also a bit ashamed to admit that I thought his nun assistant was mildly hot. Eric
"Get a Life" starring Chris Elliot. I would love watching it with the kids.
