Who remembers Sha-Na-Na. My only defense for watching that was that I was a little kid. It was a bonus tat it pissed my dad off every time he saw it on the TV. He could never resist a rant about how 'Guys would have gotten their asses kicked if they dressed like that back then!!!'.  Eric

I watched Hardcastle and McCormick. It was a pretty good show.
I have not read to the end of the thread but I seem to remember the show with a Cord as well but dont know what it was.

I watched it....but as you well know, that was back in the day of 5 or so channels...and Sha-Na-Na came on right before Wonder Woman...so I had to sit through Sha-Na-Na waiting form Wonder Woman.
I dont know if admiting I was waiting for Wonder Woman is any better than excusing why I was watching Sha-Na-Na.

I remember it but didnt watch that one. You are right, there was a crap pile of "odd couple" mystery/detective type shows back in the day.
I was partial to Remington Steel, Moonlighting and Hardcastle and McCormic.
So what about Dynasty, Dallas and Falcon Crest?
I liked Dallas (who didnt) and Dynasty was a show I put up with because we had one TV and that is what my Parental units watched.

BTW, this was the best show of the early 80s'
It was only 3 seasons yet this show pops up in pop culture quite a bit.

A short-lived reality series about 10 years ago called Outback Jack.
It was kind of cross between Survivor, and The Bachelor. A bunch of city girls were dropped off in the Australian outback where they had to rough it and go through elimination competitions to see who would win the hand of super stud, Outback Jack.
Not sure how I got started watching it, I've never been a fan of reality TV, but I watched the whole thing.

Robert Culp made that show. Plus, you have to love a superhero show where they lost the instruction manual for the super suit. Remember the one where they were trying to make pyrokinesis work and Culps Charger got torched? Eric

When Moonlighting was a hit, I attended a seminar hosted by the cleb photographer Gary Bernstein in Pittsburgh. He had some interesting stories about people like Farah Faucett, Larry Hagman, and one about Cybil Sheppard.
During the stills for the TV guide ads, (Cybil reclining on the cresent moon), several big wigs made it a point to stop by the set to get an eyefull of Cybil and she was in her dressing room. Suddenly, she opened her door and shouted that anyone not associated with the shoot to "GET THE ---------------OUT!!" And, due to her star power at that time, there was a mass rush to the doors! Sponsors, ad men, minor excutives hit the door like windblown leaves!
He said that Linda Evans was a consumate professional, wonderfull, lovely person to work with. Tony Danza was great too. When someone asked about Larry Hagman (Dallas was the #1 hit then), he said..."Larry Hagman IS J.R." and then he clammed up.

One of my favorites was UFO. It was on for a couple of seasons and never went into syndication. Not only did the aliens scare the living bejeezus out of me, but the creepy music at the end would have me looking over my shoulder and turning on more lights.
