Locking block pin wear
Have a G17 and G22, gen3, both with about 3k rounds through each. Noticed that both locking block pins are showing substantially more wear than the other two pins, especially the G22.
Is this typical? Are these regular maintenance/replacement parts, like recoil springs?

I've replaced a few over the years. They are cheap, if you think
they are wearing, other than the finish, I would replace them

Define wear? Got a pic? They normally should not be wearing unless you are taking the pin out frequently.

I would say the wear is definately more than just finish wear, especially on the G22.
I've ordered two replacements and will post pics when I switch them out.
Not concerned about the cost, more interested in knowing if this was common or not?

You're putting more wear on them by removing/replacing than firing.

Since a .40 S&W is a hotter ctg. some recommend changing the locking block pin every 10K rds. However, this is more important if you are using hotter 135, 155 & 165 gr. ammo than with the 180 gr. which is creampuff in comparison.
