for what he has done, is doing, resistance and so on, if he did not have hostages the cabin would be on fire by now.....

I am not a fan of live feed (endangers the good guys), but think it could prove useful and entertaining after this is finished.

What did that sheriff from Florida say?

Hopefully the casualty count ends at LE=0, Dorner = Room temperature.

Prayers to all those involved, for today and beyond.

Foxnews just said that no police sources have confirmed hostages.

Anyone with an update on the condition of the officers involved in the shootout?

News is now discussing how police officers own "large collections of weaponry".

Watch people cry to disarm LE now

Lapd making statement now...initial report was of a stolen vehicle. Upon locating, gunfire exchanged. Dorner then went into the woods and subsequently the cabin. Unknown condition of the officers.

The first officers were "road dogs", patrolmen etc. They aren't allowed to play with fire. They have to wait for the SWATies, they are the only ones in the room trained and qualified.

Allegedly he took two hostages then stole their car after releasing them. He then wreck and is holding up in a cabin.

I read about via ABC- I admit, not the most credible source nor did they provide a source for their info.

*UPDATE* - according to the LA Times he tied up the residents then stole their car. One of them escaped and got help. He took off in a white SUV and headed south in HWY 38.

california does have have a death penalty, justice can only come from the barrel of a gun.
I was thinking along the lines of a 55 gallon drum of diesel dropped from a helicopter.
