Gun control is about controlling all people. Interesting, maybe if Black leaders make this about themselves we'll get some more traction. It's too bad, once again, they are using segregation to accomplish this goal. Some things never change.

Gun control is people control. I thought that's what we had prisons for. Let's keep the dangerous felons in prison. Free men and women, however, can have all the guns they want, no matter the race.

I welcome them to our side. If there's one thing liberals fear more than guns, it's being called racist.

I wish their national leaders would actually take note of this.

Right?
I have a black friend that gets pissed when people refer to Jesse Jackson or al sharpton as 'black leaders'. Those airheads don't represent an entire group of people. Blacks aren't some monolithic populace of people that share the same mind.
Interesting article none the less...

Actually, liberals fear people and, most of all, they fear black people - hence their fear of both guns and being called racist.

They aren't elected, they are anointed. I'm guessing if there was somehow an election.. they'd claim some sort of "real" political power (think of it like black police unions, black firefighter unions, etc..)

A number of African-American leaders joined together Friday to challenge the gun control proposals currently being considered on Capitol Hill, claiming gun control laws are inherently racist.
“There’s a direct correlation between gun control and black people control,”
This is a serious setback for Obama and the anti-gun crowd.
Once the race card is played and the "black leaders" speak out against gun control, Obama will drop his gun ban agenda and move on to immigration amnesty.
The race card trumps all others in the deck.

Finally, someone gets it!
This is a very good article and well deserves to be spread widely. Gun control is about control, not about guns or color. It's freedom and safety, stuff we all deserve.
Good for the authors. I hope more people read and disseminate this viewpoint.

Gun control in this country does stem from racism. After slaves became free, and were protected under the constitution, local leaders didn't want them owning rifles.
So yes, gun control in the US is inherently racist.
Many laws that are still in effect today are just Jim Crowe laws...like pistol/rifle purchase permits.
