Took my first giant step tonight...

Got my certificate on handgun safety and marksmanship tonight. Now I get to send in my application for the Florida CCW. Has anyone gotten there Florida CCW recently, how long did it take to receive the license? After the class room lecture we all went to the shooting range and we're given Glock 17 for target practice. I was surprise how good the class was, I learned more than I thought I would.

If you're near one of the local offices that can process them, go there. It's quicker. I was traveling when I sent mine in, and when I called the office in Punta Gorda, they told me that it was still quicker to send it to one of the satellite offices than to send it to the main address, so I sent it to PG.

I got mine in less than 30 days-I think it was more like 3 weeks.
