We're already there. Few guns are sold between midnight and 7AM; most NICS checks are done from about 8AM till around 11PM. With that time adjustment, the rate figures out to about one a second.

It's certainly not because of me. I haven't purchased a firearm since November. I was spending some money on reloading supplies and 22lr before it dried up. I do have my eye on another shotgun right now though.

That's pretty much what I have been doing at my LGS on Fridays. A buddy of mine and I go there before going out for a couple beers and lunch just to view the panic first hand. People will come up to us and say "Are you in line?" I always reply, "Nope, just watching people waste their money."

Gun sales fell sharply last month. Simply because retailers have nothing left to sell and most gun makers are backlogged for next two years. Many do not even take orders anymore.
