Let's see if we can drop that by at least .6 seconds.

If they had more to sell that would be possible.

Yep, and vote like their 2nd Amendment depends on it (to many live in this mindset of either "it'll never happen" or "My vote doesn't really count anyway")

We're already there. Few guns are sold between midnight and 7AM; most NICS checks are done from about 8AM till around 11PM. With that time adjustment, the rate figures out to about one a second.

factor in private sales and it's probably more like one every .8 seconds.

In the last 8 days I've bought a Glock 27 Gen4 and a Ruger 10-22. Haven't shot both yet and if I had another $600 in my pocket I'd go get a Glock 23 Gen4

It's certainly not because of me. I haven't purchased a firearm since November. I was spending some money on reloading supplies and 22lr before it dried up. I do have my eye on another shotgun right now though.

That's pretty much what I have been doing at my LGS on Fridays. A buddy of mine and I go there before going out for a couple beers and lunch just to view the panic first hand. People will come up to us and say "Are you in line?" I always reply, "Nope, just watching people waste their money."

It does seem that way, possibly for good reason.

However, it's a good thing - if nothing else, think what that tells politicians about how many voters oppose gun control and are seriously worried about it.

And to think before this latest assault on gun rights I was preparing to sell off some of my guns. That plan is on hold.

1 per second! IS THIS A GREAT NATION or What?

A historical political statement being made by both the govt administration and the peoples reaction to same, I suppose, fascinating to watch. Most important to join up, write and fight yet again the ASSAULT on WEAPONS they want to BAN.

Reality Strikes! Again. But ONE sale transaction (legally recorded and papered) per SECOND!

Makes you wonder what the "gunshow loophole/after hours" sales crews were doing during that same period?

Conversely, How many weapons did the US combined Police Forces remove from the streets last year? (I wonder)

Gun sales fell sharply last month. Simply because retailers have nothing left to sell and most gun makers are backlogged for next two years. Many do not even take orders anymore.

What good are guns with no ammo? I can't find ammo anywhere, and this is why:
