Just bought my first beautiful pistol

2012 was the best year ever for Mr and Mrs Keoking, so I treated myself to something I normally wouldn't buy.

Sig Sauer P220 Stainless Elite

I don't have a camera worthy of a pic. It looks just like the images at

.

Not sure if I got a good deal ($1079 plus tax), but I'm happy with it.
I'm not a safe queen kind of guy. I have a safe full of Glocks and one 1911 that would be pretty if it didn't look like it had been to war. I don't even know how to baby a gun so that it still looks new. I hope I don't do anything stupid to jack it up.

According to Sig the MSRP is $1368, so $1079 is very reasonable. I like the rosewood grips, Short Reset Trigger, night sights and beavertail . A P220 Stainless Elite is a very nice pistol.

I have a P220 carry for edc. The P220 elite stainless is on my wish list. Might even sell my 226, 229, or 232 to fund the purchase. I have the sig bug for sure and definately favor 45 auto.

I was going to go all the way and pick up a P220 X-Six on Gunbroker, but the recent gouging caused the price to change from $2500 to $3000 overnight. I might pay $2500 for a rare and exquisite $2000 pistol, but there is no way I would pay $3000.
