New Glock 17 Owner from Wisconsin!
Hello to all!
I have used long guns and rifles since I was 8 years old starting with my Dad. I Started with my 1st pistol being a ruger.22 for plinkin. Then I got a Ruger Redhawk .44 for deer hunting and had to sell it, fell on hard times money wise. :crying::crying::crying:. Things turned around and I now have a Ruger GP100, SR40C and a Armalite 24 9mm.
Last week I attended a Whitetails Unlimited Deer Camp. @ the local Holiday Inn. They have drawings for different prizes, and one had rifles, a crossbow and 2 pistols. It was a $20/60 raffle. So for every 60 tickets sold they would draw 1 ticket to pick winners choice:wow:. I bought 2 tickets on the first run through and won "0". That was not going to stop me. SSo on the second 20/60 I bought 2 more and bang my # was pulled. It was between a Ruger 1911 style .45, Winchester SXR .300 WSM, or the Gen 3 GLOCK 17 9mm. So being the DEER Hunter I took the .300 Winchester. Not bad foe $80.00 . Hun. Well I got the paper work done and waited the 20 minutes for the Fed. and State check. and went back and collected my rifle. A few minutes after my table looked it over I walked up to the 20/60 and bought one more ticket for $20. The Glock was still there and I wanted it. Walked back to my table and asked a friend to listen for my # as I was going to the truck to lock down the Winchester. When I returned my friend was not @ the table and I asked where he went . They said he just went up to say I wanted the Glock:wavey::supergrin::supergrin::supergrin:. Well wholly *****, Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!! So here I am. Lovin my Glock 17 and can't wait for a little better weather to go shooting.
