Wild West Alaska; I like it.

New series on Animal planet about a gun shop in Alaska. Out of all of the gun shop shows that have cropped up lately, this one is the most entertaining and features the most real people.

Sure, its not perfect, and a lot of it is staged as you would expect, but it conveys a certain air of honesty and good-naturedness that I find appealing.

Of course, Phred is certainly appealing, even though she is a spoiled brat...

Just stumbled upon that show the other day... and yeah... Phred's a cutie. As you say... the show is staged but also full of good natured fun. I like what I've seen so far.

The show has a special appeal to me because I bought a Colt LE6920 from Ken back in '06. At the time they were hard to find... not like today, but just generally scarce. He was a regular poster on one of the boards (can't recall if it was TFL or perhaps THR) and posted that he had a small number of the Colts inbound. I called and ordered one over the phone. He was a great guy to deal with and the transaction went smoothly. Kind of fun to see him - and the rest of the gang - in person on TV.

I try to avoid the shop as much as possible.

Alright store if you want a guide gun. You can so do better on most prices in town if you try.

I clicked on it one day, figuring it would have something to do with the guide guns, but it was just another one of those dude soap operas. I saw about 10 minutes of it.

I recall one of their employees on another firearms forum that left a negative impression upon me. I won't bother watching the show, they aren't entertainment nor educational.

Dude soap opera...

Yeah, I see your point; but, it is at least less obnoxious than the ones I've seen about other gun shops.

No machine guns with handlebars and flames...

Yup - that was Ken.

As I stated above, I bought an AR from him (from the shop, actually) and had was very pleased with how the transaction went.
