If it passes, I wonder if it will just cover all "New" permits
or
All permits already issued.

While I didn't read the exact law, most of the time when these laws pass, it's retroactive... so it includes all active permits.

This type of law is basically:

Are CCW records private? yes/no

One of the problems (well, issues) is the data that's already out there is fair game, like the Richmond publishing everyone's record, but that isn't what the people who are treating CCW holders as child molesters and outing them are interested in. They want to keep publishing all the names.

Cops won't be allowed to give out any of the data if the law passes, though.
