Cali is REALLY going for broke with this latest BS.
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...atory-license/
Quote:
- Possession of hollow point bullets and similar assault bullets a felony.
- Must register and report ammo purchases. Only purchase max 500 rounds.
- 10 round magazine limit
- ALL magazines must be fixed to the gun (can not be removed without the use of a tool)
- 100% prohibition of all magazines greater than 10 rounds. All previous grandfathered magazines become illegal. Felony if you keep one.
- Changing definition of shotgun revolving cylinder — Basically only single shot shotguns will remain legal.
- Bullet Buttons will become illegal — All AR and AK style rifles that are currently equipped with them will be designated Assault Weapons. Felony to possess.
- All gun owners now must be licensed like drivers.
- All gun owners must carry gun liability insurance

If you live in that state, you need to be writing your reps 5, 10, 20, hell.... 100 TIMES PER DAY until this nonsense is defeated.
Even though I'm not from there, and lots of other GT'ers aren't from there, we all wish you the best of luck.
Do not give them an inch.

40% of Californians voted for Romney. I think they underestimate what the opposition to this will be.

No, they don't and the ca.gov does not care.
The actions of many here (Ohio) confirm they could do the same here ASAP. People here would just stand around and watch it happen ... then complain it happened.
It is unreal. Out of ten people I used to know and be friends with one was going to the rally today, that is me.

The 60% that favor this will be considered the "will of the people."
Keep in mind this is the state that has Feinstein, who publicly advocates the end goal of complete nationwide disarmament, representing them in the Senate.

Did that really say, "assault bullets." Like, "hey, we can just give them a label and nobody will know the difference."
You guys are in trouble.

This will pass no problem in CA and will be embraced by the public.
I've never been to that ****hole, and I never want to go.

I say there will be none. Maybe tiny small cases, but that's it.
People who live in CA aren't there because they love their freedoms.

Yeah, the "assault bullets" made me bust out laughing, as disgusting as this whole thing is I still couldn't help but chuckle at that one.
I guess those horrible bullets are equipped with a pistol grip these days?

The cure for this insanity is nasty vicious and messy. Firearms owners and users need to present a united front. Go after the top mouthy ten percent and the rest will shut up and crawl back in their holes.

These anti-Constitutional rights people have always been there waiting for their Obama to give them his blessing. Do not believe the lib's that tell you otherwise. They lie. You have seen them post on this site but now you see them for real.
Money will buy you some civil rights. Working against these wacko's will replace them.
Work to put them out of office. But first donate money to pro-gun causes. Buy yourself the freedoms you should get free. Money is political power and freedom is expensive. Politicians do not sell cheap, but they can be bought.

Go read this thread on Calguns:
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=698309
Many CA liberal gun owners on that forum still believe it's not their fault. Some of them say it's a good idea for the few conservatives remaining in CA to stop voting for GOP and to support pro-gun Democrat politicians.

These people fully deserve what's coming to them. I'm getting outta there in 2 years and I'm gonna laugh my arse off when Sacramento will ban even their BB guns and water soakers.

It will probably pass with no problem as the state assembly and senate are dominated by democrats. Gov. moonbeam will sign the bill. The Republicans have no say in this issue.
"assault bullets"? I hope the anti-gun idiots (politicians, media, etc) start using this term during upcoming debates. It will just be another made up term to go with their collection of other made up terms.
If this bill passes as written, EVERY gun and gun accessory manufacturer should refuse to do business with Calif.
And to set an example to the public, all police depts should be ordered to comply with the new law.

There are plenty of foreign guns and ammo manufacturers who will be more than happy to supply CA LEO agencies with all the firepower they need at a discounted price.

Here's the scary thing. The anti-gun and anti-freedom people have been waiting to take your rights away, just waiting for an evil opportunity. This is true and not in dispute.
Yet at the same time they wonder what the pro-gun people are afraid of. Nobody would try to also enslave you would they?
The scary thing is there actually are people wanting to enslave us. They are just waiting for the opportunity.

Bullets in a fixed grip?? That I would like to see. That's gun control right there: no one would be able to load the gun!

I just might have to start making 10rd magazines for M-1 carbines. Yup Grandpa's rifle is too dangerous for this generation to handle.
The condition of Chicago, and their own experience with the Rodney King riots have taught them nothing.
"The Magic Kingdom" was supposed to be a recreational theme park----not a lifestyle.

Notice how they want to make simple possession of certain "evil" items a felony? Hi cap mags, "assault bullets"?
But the law against carrying a weapon concealed in Calif. is still a misdemeanor. 12031(G) PC
The Calif. politicians will never make this crime a felony as they often carry weapons concealed for their protection and they do so without a CCW.
If caught they can buy their way out of the charge, but if it was a felony it would be more difficult and if convicted they would not be able to hold public office.
It would interesting to propose a change to 12031 PC, making the carrying of a concealed weapon a felony, and then see how the politicians react.
Everything politicians do is self serving.
