Thanks Bac, I always felt like the P226 grip would be to large for me, but that's not the case at all with this one. Feels great!

I would highly recommend the P226.

I added some Hogue rubber grips today ,but I think I will have to go back to the stock ones. The Hogues on this gun just make the grip a little to fat for my hands. The stock ones were nice and slim and I like the looks or the older Sig ones .

Very nice gun. I do love the 226, especially in 9mm. It is like a laser beam.

Nice
My girl like hands can not grip a 226 well enough to shoot well so I have never owned one. Maybe one of the E2 models someday

Very nice. Some years, ok, decades back, when we were replacing revolvers with pistols, I had presumed I would continue with a Smith and Wesson. Then I shot a P226 and it just felt better to me. I suspect you will enjoy shooting yours.

Great catch there...if you're looking for thinner grips, check out the Hogue G10 grips, like the ones on the Scorpion or Extreme models. They make the grip thinner from side-to-side, and work well even with gloves on.
If you need a smaller grip from the backstrap to trigger, then the E2 one-piece grip will do the trick.
I noticed that the sights are the same as the ones I've got on my WG P228, too. At first, I thought about swapping them out, but I've come to like them a lot.

I suspect you are right. I shot with some buddies about a month ago and one of them brought his P226. Well I just had to shoot it, and really liked what I saw. So best stay away if you don't want to end up buying one.

I don't think I will have a problem with the stock grips and before I take off the Hogues I plan to give them some range time. They give you a nice secure grip on the pistol for sure.

I do the opposite of most people, if I buy a Sig with nite sights , I change them to the contrast sights. I shoot this style better than the nite sights. So the sights were a big plus for me.

It will look different by the weekend. Of course I will bring it back up to showroom condition after burning a few rounds thru it.

Now that you have it in your hot little hands, what are the alpha codes on the bottom of the barrel?
Dang, that pistol looks new, looks like a good buy.
My 226 is very reliable.
