Glock 19 Gen4, March 2012 at $539. I got off to a late start in life with firearms.
Just picked up my first .22 (Ruger 10-22) not even an hour ago.

I'd bought and sold several used long guns as a teenager. Legal without any parents signature in those days in my state.
First new gun that I bought with my own hard earned money, was a S&W model 19 with a 6 inch barrel. Walked into a West Texas hardwire store, paid cash, and walked out the door with the revolver and a cash register receipt. None of those silly background checks either.
I've still got it and it's had many thousands of rounds of ammo through it. If memory serves me correctly, I paid about 120 bucks for it.

My first purchase without an adult signing was a 10/22 in 1986, second was a Mini-14 later that year. First handgun was a 6 in GP100 SS, bought new in 1989.

My first store bought gun was a ruger 10/22 stainless with synthetic stock. I got it at sportsmans on sale for 95$ when I turned 18. My first handgun was a ruger sp101. Cabelas had it for about 550.

In 1972 or 73 I bought a Remington 582 bolt action 22LR with a tube magazine. I was in 8th grade and Dad had to do the paperwork for it. I think I paid between 75 and 100 dollars for it. I still shoot it once and a while.

My first gun when I was 18 (2006) it was a Raven 25acp. I bought from a friend for a whopping 60 bucks. After buying several used guns I finally splurged on a new gun which was my first Glock, a G19 Gen3.I think I paid $520 OTD.

My first "new" gun was a Stevens, single-shot, 20ga that I bought at the local market/carryout/liquor store on Rt66 in rural Missouri when I was twelve.
After saving money from my paper route, I rode my bike on the shoulder of the road about three miles to pay $23 for the gun and a box of #4 shells. No background checks, no questions asked.
I've had many guns over the years since, but still have that one.
Now, Obama thinks he's gonna take my guns. Over my dead body.

Hope you bagged a lot of rabbits, ducks, squirrels, pheasants or whatever you were gunning for in MO with that shotgun, and glad you still have it.
Nuthin' like being young and being able to earn money to be able to buy your own gun. It teaches you the value of a dollar

It was right about the time of the 94 ban because it only came with one 15 round magazine and one 10 round (or maybe a coupon for a 10 round one). I don't remember how much I paid I want to say around 400ish.

6" Ruger Blackhawk .357, purchased 1974, Anchorage, Alaska, for about $95. I sure miss that gun. Sold it and and several others when my 1st wife decided she wanted a divorce, and I didn't how crazy she would get. She was actually very nice through the whole thing, so someone got my guns for a steal.
We live and learn.

I bought my first personally owned gun (Mossberg 500) by mail order in 1963. I was 11 years old at the time. As I remember, it was about $67. Still have it today.

I had my dads Colt 1911 for five years before I decided on the G21. He had passed away by then, but before that you better believe we had plenty of discussions about the plastic gun!

My first was a Colt Government Model 1911A1 in 1969. I earned the money washing dishes after school and weekends at a pancake restaurant in Albuquerque, NM. I think it cost about $80 and it was purchased by my mother at a Kmart since I was 16. The gun is sitting in my safe. I've owned a lot of 1911s and other guns over the years but that one I will always keep.

mine was a Anschutz Model 64 .22 cal target rifle.
I'm sorry...I don't know how much it cost as I got it for a Christmas present when I was 14. That was in 1976.
I was doing a lot of formal "small bore English match" shooting as a kid.
I was really proud of that rifle. It was eventually replaced by a Model 54
