Got a W. German P226!

I haven't actually picked it up, but I am meeting the guy tomorrow morning. It is very nice looking, with original box and papers. I am excited, this will be my 3rd P226. I also have a P226 E2, and a P226 X-Five Competition.

Great looking old school W. German P226, with original everything. What more could one ask for? Congrats!

I've got a stamped steel factory nickel plated two tone P220.
It's a keeper.

Congratulations on your P226!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I picked it up this morning, and it is even nicer looking in person than in the pictures. I am going to keep it as is and not shoot it, I think. It is just that nice.

I have 2 other P226's to shoot. This one is so pretty and minty. It is 26 years old and still looks brand new. I would hate to ruin that.

THAT is just plain a waste. A fine gun like that needs to do what it is built to do.

My Sigs are just a source of enjoyment. Letting them sit around and do nothing but collect Ballistol is unthinkable.

If you already have other P226s to shoot, there is no reason you can't keep one like this as a collectable.

It's not a crime.

Like bac said, this one will shoot identically to his other P226s. There's no new experience to be had from shooting this pristine one, so he might as well keep in minty and shoot the others.

This is my thinking. It is rare to see a 26 year old pistol in such pristine condition. This goes in my safe with my rare coins.

My 1987 W. German SIG P226 9mm is one of my remaining SIGs. I also have a W. German SIG P6 (1980) and a W. German SIG P220.

I don't blame you for not shooting it. I was just cuttin up. Lol. It's a very nice, top shelf pistol.

Yeah, what's the point of shooting it if he already has an another to shoot?

Its not often you see these old Sigs in such great shape with the box.
