I recently bought a Springfield XD-9, because a Glock 19 couldn't be found. The Springfield is a good gun, but I just prefer Glocks. I saw a guy with a Glock 36 to trade so I made the deal. My reasoning was to carry the Glock 36 for it's power and easy concealment. And later when the shelves return to normal stock, I will buy a Glock 19 for it's capacity and it's low cost to shoot. I can use the G19 for more practice at the range and carry the G36.
So as I said, I made the deal and can't be happier. I have had a G36 in the past and absolutely loved it. I just had to sell it for some extra cash. Not this time. Especially since I customized it with a polishing of the internals, the chamber, and the feed ramp. And then 6 hours of stippling the grip. It is now the perfect fit for my hands. I have a custom holster on the way and then it really will be perfect. I am so glad to have a Glock at my side again.
