If Turkey is that concerned about it, they should be doing something about it. Doesn't Turkey have an army and air force?

Syria's best and number one resource at present is its global juxtaposition as far as what is being panned for Iran. Why do you think Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are so important as well? (Just google a map of the entire region.)
Anyway, free up Syria's airspace, and maybe a few of its airfields for good measure (but not necessary), and this will help open up yet another way to prosecute a sustainable attack against Iran a lot cheaper, safer, and faster than having to go around or avoid Syria while doing so.

No, we've been there for over two years now.

That was not the Turkish government - that was criminals and terrorists. We even have those here.
What the Turkish government has done is send troops to Afghanistan in support of our mission. Having a country perceived as muslim on our side is a big asset. I have worked with Turkish soldiers and I have no complaints about them. Like the U.S., they have a secular government and pretty substantial freedom, compared to others in the area and most countries with a muslim majority.

At least if you are labeled un-American you won't have to worry about domestic drone strikes against you.....

So that's what those two batteries do? Please, tell us how that works.

Kind of like on the internet forums - People continually flip someone off who they know is obligated to not break the rules in response. Yeah, usually that type of stupidity eventually yields the rewards that are earned.
And then there are those trying so hard to be offended that they're imagining things that haven't even been said in a thread.

Because the founder of Turkey was an agnostic.

Good job America..
And people wonder why the world hates our government.

During the Cuban Missile Crisis JFK traded American missile sites in Turkey (think they were called "Jupiter" missiles) away as a token to get Russian nukes out of Cuba. Maybe history is repeating itself?

I guess you missed the part where Turkey shelled Syrian military positions for six days in a row after a shell fired by the Syrians landed across the border in Turkey.
If you think we should get out of NATO that is a legitimate argument but right now we are IN NATO and Turkey is a NATO ally.

Bush was a horrific president as well.
I don't know what it will take to make people understand that the majority of the republicans and democrats are just different sides of the same coin.
