I have found a way to get my shooting fix. I decided to buy an air rifle. It's a .177 Cal that shoots 1400fps with pba ammo and 1200 fps with lead.

This thing is a lot of fun. I took the time to sight the scope in today and enjoyed shooting it. The plus to me is that it actually sounds like I am firing a small rifle (.23 or. 17).

For all you preppers out there I would see this as a good investment. Ammo is cheap and plentiful. Easily stored and carried. You won't want to defend your family with it, but if it came down to it you could shoot small game from a reasonable distance.

I joined the club and bought the whisper. I agree, it's a lot of fun and the power is very impresive for an air rifle. Check you tube and watch the wild pig they drop in its tracks. enjoy..
