Wow I had just ordered his book. And wanted to get some gear. I did notice that most of the logo gear is currently sold out.
Just so tragic....terrible!

Late entry but, my heart goes out to his family and friends. Chris Kyle is an American hero and great man. W/O going to far into it, he was supposedly helping this man with PTSD. Chris Kyle a Navy Seal, decorated war hero, and awesome human being, one who couldn't be brought down in the line of combat is taken out on American soil by a person with mental health issues.
The topic of mental health can not be avoided by this administration any longer, nor can big pharma and the deadly toxins they call medication.

It looks like they are taking orders on some hats with expected resupply within a few weeks. This is directly at Craft International and not at the 5.11 place.
I was able to snag some Tshirts and preordered the hats. Did not see any availability for patches or decals though

And, by the way, the latest sidebar article to the story on CNN is Should vets with PTSD, mental illness still have access to guns? - By Halimah Abdullah.
The left-wingers have seen another chink in the armor and they're going for it.

Impossible to know but I would wager that Kyle would agree rather than have his fellow vets disarmed.

Reading someone's words about their life makes you feel a bit of a kinship. After I read Chris' book, it made me feel he was very approachable and caring. This news is heartbreaking and his family and friends will be in our prayers for a long time.

I didn't realize that. I thought he just supported following the Constitution and relegating that authority to the states as it specifies.
You do think the Constitution should be followed or amended, dontcha TBO?

Speaking generally, without knowing the specifics of Routh's past treatment, I tend to agree with you.
There's an article on CNN this morning that says Routh was in and out of VA facilities for 2 years for treatment for mental illness. It doesn't say what kind of mental illness, but I can't recall ever working with a vet with PTSD who spent that much time receiving inpatient treatment.

I wonder how Chris Kyle got together with this Routh character. From what little I have heard of him, it does seem that Kyle did not use good judgement in his selection of therapy for someone as disturbed as Routh was purported to be.
As for all the venom directed at Ron Paul, he wasn't really off-base when he said, "Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense.”

While those who suffer from PTSD often react negatively to sudden loud noises, do you think it's a good idea to take someone with PTSD to a firing-range?

Routh's mom asked Chris Kyle to help her son with his PTSD.

Any time somebody who has been in a war goes crazy, everybody says, "PTSD." You know, I see them coming in to the military and a lot are already crazy when we get them. Sending basic trainees to see a psychiatrist is very, very common and many of those make it through training, even with the drill sergeants saying they should not - that was especially true a few years ago when Routh came in. This guy was an armorer, by MOS - I have some doubts about how much direct combat he was involved in, compared to an Infantryman, but you never know.
It kind of makes you wonder when you think about Chris Kyle going through the battle of Fallujah, 2 silver stars and a broze with V, shooting hundreds of people, individually, one shot, while looking at them, and he was doing well. But this Marine went so crazy from a tour in Iraq as an armorer, that he freaks out and kills people for no reason? I'm no psychologist, but it seems to me that this guy's problem is a lot more than war. There's PTSD and then there's "crazy."

With the $trillions spent on "nationbuilding" in Iraq and Afghanistan, I bet you just can't wait to give Iran a little taste of that "shock & awe", can ya?
And since it's worked out so well in Egypt and Lybia, let's get Assad out of Syria and give another country to the Muslim Brotherhood.
(and he thinks Ron Paul is a loon)

Right, I'm just commenting on Kyle's judgement. Whether PTSD or "crazy", taking someone afflicted with either to a firing-range, especially someone you don't really know, is bad judgement.

No, you don't know that as "fact", you're just parroting what establishment "opinion makers" say, as indicated by your use of the term "loon".
