I am buying a XP-100 in .223 and I am wondering if there are any better loads than the rifle loads in the Speer reloading manual? For my AR15 I load 24gr H335 powder with 55gr bullets. The XP-100 barrel length is 10-3/4. I would like to stay with the H335 powder, I was lucky and found 8lbs.
Every gun is different. I like H335 myself great powder for my R700 55g loads. I would give lighter bullets a try 40-50g depending on your needs. I don't own a XP-100 or any rifle chambered pistol, but a fellow member is an avid shooter of them. He has told me his does well with lighter bullets out to 200 yards.

I have a contender in 223 and it likes 748 as does my 7mm BR XP-100. In any case the bullet will make more of a difference than the powder, to a point.
